This summer, lychees from Dongguan, a major city in South China's Guangdong Province, are set to debut in the Malaysian market. From July 13th to 14th, the fruit will first make its way to Penang, Malaysia, according to GDToday's campaign, Guangdong's Lychee Exports to Malaysia ("Flavor of Guangdong lychees, all the way to Malaysia"). The most anticipated part of the campaign will be the Trade Exhibitions for Guangdong Lychee Products on July 13th, scheduled at 11:00 AM (local time), Sunshine Square Bayan Baru.
The trade exhibition will mainly spotlight Xianjinfeng, a lychee variety from Dongguan. It has gained popularity among local residents and international consumers for its unique combination of sweetness and crispness.
In the past, Guangdong lychees were limited to the local market, as preserving their freshness was a challenge. However, with the advancement in cold chain technology and smart logistics, Guangdong lychees are now exported to more than 20 countries and regions across six continents. Lychees from China have become a fruit that appeals to consumers all around the globe, adding to the gastronomic experience in different countries.
