On April 23, the "Brilliant Stars: The Civilization of Ancient Shu Immersive Digital Art Experience" exhibition opened at the MGM Fantasy Box in Macao, offering visitors a captivating journey through the ancient Shu civilization.
Running from April 24 to June 24, the exhibition combines digital art, interactive technology, and archaeological storytelling to create an immersive experience.
Ancient Shu civilization meets modern technology
The exhibition showcases the splendor of the ancient Shu civilization, featuring highlights such as 12K ultra-high-definition imagery, immersive interactions, and micro-distance digital decoding.
These technologies bring to life the artifacts and culture of the Sanxingdui and Jinsha cultures, allowing visitors to explore the intricate details of precious relics and experience the artistry of ancient Shu.
Macao and Hengqin collaboration
Su Kun, Deputy Director of the Executive Committee of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, highlighted the innovative "one exhibition, two places" model. While Hengqin hosts the "Treasures of Ancient Shu: Sanxingdui and Jinsha" exhibition, Macao presents the digital art exhibition. This collaboration underscores the close ties between Macao and Hengqin in promoting cultural exchange and heritage.
The Hengqin exhibition, which concluded on April 24, attracted over 300,000 visitors, including a significant number from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. The Macao exhibition is set to continue this cultural legacy, further enhancing cross-regional cooperation.

The exhibition is held at MGM's multifunctional Fantasy Box venue, utilizing approximately 500 square meters of ultra-high-definition LED screens across three walls. This advanced technology dynamically presents the natural environment, daily life, and activities of the ancient Shu people, creating an immersive experience.
