Rail service adjustments due to heavy rainfall in Guangdong

Due to the ongoing heavy rainfall in northern Guangdong and other regions, the railway authorities have decided to continue the suspension and rerouting of regular trains passing through the Shaoguan area on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway until noon on April 21.

Additionally, from 10 am to 6 pm on April 21, some regular trains traveling on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway will also be suspended.

Starting from the morning of April 20, in collaboration with local governments, the railway departments have facilitated the transfer of affected passengers from Shaoguan East, Hengyang, and Chenzhou stations to nearby high-speed train stations. This effort includes the deployment of special high-speed trains, adding stops at intermediate stations, and utilizing available seats on regularly scheduled trains, aiming to minimize disruptions to passenger travel.

Tickets purchased through the 12306 website, station windows, or authorized resellers can be refunded directly online without any service fees.

Passengers who have bought tickets for the suspended trains can obtain a full refund within 30 days from the date of travel (including the day itself) by presenting the original valid identity document used for purchase at any train station nationwide.

For those who paid in cash or have received reimbursement vouchers, refunds can be collected, and vouchers returned at any station within 180 days of processing the refund.

Meanwhile, those who paid in cash or have already claimed reimbursement vouchers can receive their refunds and return vouchers at any station window within 180 days of processing their ticket returns.
