Good news came from overseas recently. The Chinese documentary "One Person/Hundred Bridges" and its English version produced by Nanshan District in Shenzhen won the Best Documentary Award at the 2024 French Riviera Film Festival (FRFF).

It is reported that the annual FRFF (2024) featured over 3,000 entries, with five documentaries making it to the final round. Among them, "One Person/Hundred Bridges" emerged as the winner in the documentary category, making it the biggest winner at the festival.
The documentary "One Person/Hundred Bridges" was jointly produced by Shenzhen Cangjie Tong Culture Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Jinxiu Dadi Investment Co., Ltd. Since its broadcast on CCTV's documentary channel and various platforms at home and abroad, it has garnered widespread praise.

The documentary revolves around the 16-year-long experience of Wu Liguan, a retired soldier from Shenzhen and a member of the Chinese Ancient Bridge Committee, in photographing and studying ancient bridges. It brings together over a hundred renowned ancient bridges in China.
During these 16 years, Mr. Wu traveled 230,000 kilometers, covering 26 provinces in China, and recorded over 600 ancient bridges of various shapes and forms. These ancient bridges not only demonstrate the exquisite construction techniques of ancient China but also carry profound cultural heritage and precious historical value, leaving people in awe.

The 2024 FRFF invites filmmakers from around the world to participate in a two-day film festival, including screenings, award ceremonies, and closing galas, focusing on the best short film content during the annual Cannes Film Festival. It selects the best drama short, best comedy short, best documentary short, and best film through a renowned jury.

The documentary "One Person/ Hundred Bridges" stood out among numerous entries and entered the hall of fame in the FRFF documentary finals, adding another prestigious honor to the film after winning the Excellent Documentary Award from the Chinese National Radio and Television Administration.
