Huadu National Economic Zone boosts digital hub with key projects, partnerships

The Digital Economy Investment Conference of the National-Level Guangzhou Huadu Economic & Technological Development Zone, along with the Huadu Session of the 11th Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference, was held on June 19.

During the event, Huadu District showcased its industrial capacity and business environment as a national-level development zone. It unveiled 10 investment projects, partnered with 10 global investment ambassadors, and established two overseas liaison offices.

Attendees included academicians (via video), representatives from central state-owned enterprises such as Dongfeng Nissan, PowerChina, Energy China, and CRRC, as well as multinational corporations including ZF Group, Valeo, and BASF.

A total of 48 key projects were signed, with a strong focus on the digital economy. The district also announced 210 projects that commenced or were completed since 2024, including 6 newly launched projects.

From January to May 2024, Huadu secured and advanced projects with total investments exceeding 100 billion yuan. An additional 68 key projects worth over 40 billion yuan are slated for commencement or completion in the second half of the year.

Experts and academicians emphasized the importance of deepening the integration of the digital and real economies to advance Huadu's high-quality digital growth.
