A grand reception was held in Guangdong to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. At the reception, several international figures were interviewed by Yangcheng Evening News.
Francois Joseph Gitzhofer, a consultant at the Guangdong Academy of Sciences' Institute of New Materials from France, said that China has changed tremendously over the years, and people's faces are full of happiness. He stated that he is working hard with his Chinese colleagues on the development of the photovoltaic industry.
Damian Edgardo Marelli, a foreign teacher at the School of Automation of Guangdong University of Technology from Argentina, said that he feels good working in Guangdong and that Chinese society places great emphasis on knowledge and education, which is not the case in every country.
In recent years, China and Guangdong Province's high-end manufacturing industry has developed rapidly. Yangcheng Evening News also asked several international figures which Chinese products they personally use, with Chinese brands such as Huawei, DJI, and Xiaomi frequently mentioned.
