"Guangdong litchi, a delight for all!" said Joyce Lee, Vice Chairman of China Singapore Chamber of Commerce Guangdong Branch, in a litchi planting base in Guangzhou's Conghua District. On June 25, she paid a visit to Guangzhou Conghua Hualong Fruit and Vegetable Company to enjoy fresh litchi and explore more opportunities for the export of Guangdong litchi to Singapore.
Singapore is one of the major importers of Guangdong litchi in Southeast Asia. According to Guangdong Sub-administration of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), the export volume of Guangdong’s fresh litchi in 2022 reached 170 million RMB. Specifically, the export volume to Singapore was up to 28.15 million RMB, accounting for 16.2% of the whole and ranking first among ASEAN and RCEP countries.
