As the only land checkpoint in western Shenzhen, Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint serves as a key link between Hong Kong and the Qianhai and Shekou Areas of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone. With new policies such as document-free clearance and expanded multi-entry permits, cross-border travel has surged, fueling tourism and consumption between Guangdong and Hong Kong.
To enhance efficiency, the checkpoint has introduced smart infrastructure, mobile inspection terminals, and automated clearance lanes. So far, 2.25 million frequent travelers have benefited from the document-free clearance service this year.
