The third session of the China Chaoshan International Textile and Garment Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "CTGE") is scheduled to take place from March 28th to 30th, 2024, at the Guangdong Shantou Exhibition Center. As the opening ceremony draws near, what are the anticipated highlights of 2024 CTGE? And what stage have the preparations reached? On March 25th, the reporter from Yangcheng Evening News visited the CTGE venue to get a sneak peek at the progress of the event.
At the site, workers are busily decorating the vast venue, spanning over 100,000 square meters. The construction of various exhibition areas is already quite impressive, and all work is progressing in a tense but organized manner. Indication signs for different exhibition areas have been hung above each hall, and workers are busy doing the final touches on painting, assembling, and decorating the exhibition stands. The intricate layout of these stands demonstrates the careful consideration and effort put in by the exhibitors.
It is learned that the 2024 CTGE occupies a venue twice the size of the previous session, covering an area of over 100,000 square meters and featuring 12 exhibition halls with the presence of 800 domestic and international exhibitors and 15 textile and garment industry clusters. It gathers upstream and downstream industry chains, including underwear, garment accessories equipment, e-commerce, service providers, etc, making it an annual grand event in the field of intimate apparel in China.
It is reported that the exhibition will showcase over 120,000 new products, covering more than 50 categories. Over 40 activities and brand release shows, as well as seven theme forums and matchmaking meetings, are scheduled to take place during the exhibition. In addition, there will be fascinating activities such as design competitions, award ceremonies, welcome dinners, and industrial tours.
While the exhibition halls are scrambling to complete their setups, rehearsals for the opening ceremony's performances and fashion shows are also proceeding smoothly. The performers have been rehearsing since March 25th and will continue until March 27th, aiming to provide a professional and high-standard visual experience to guests and audiences from both home and abroad.
A variety of activities, including fashion shows and Yingge performances, are set to take the stage. According to Hu Liuchan, the designer of the exclusive fashion show of the CTGE, the opening show of the third session of the CTGE will take place at the Shantou Exhibition Center on March 28th morning. This opening show will present a unique perspective and innovative approach, weaving together multiple brands from different countries, tones, styles, and categories into a story inspired by the Maritime Silk Road, exploring a fashionable era of resilience.
It is noteworthy that this opening show will break with traditional formats, incorporating industry-first immersive 360° circular stage design, creative costumes themed on the Maritime Silk Road, and performances by international supermodels. The show will showcase the charm of clothing and textiles in their full range, present unique designs from multiple perspectives, and allow audiences to experience the cutting-edge design trends in the clothing and textile industry up close.
