On March 15th, 2024, the Shenzhen Longgang Beautiful Life Festival kicked off at the Xinghe WORLD·COCO Park on Bantian Street. With the theme "Let the Beautiful Life Flow", the festival offers a wide range of activities, including gastronomy, cultural creativity, cutting-edge technology, and group weddings, among others.
In 2023, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Longgang District's establishment, the inaugural Beautiful Life Festival was launched. This year, the second edition of the Beautiful Life Festival has been upgraded, aiming to further enhance Longgang's district brand as the "City of Beautiful Life."
During the festival's opening ceremony, Longgang unveiled the 2024 "City of Beautiful Life" activity menu. The menu encompasses 100 selected activities, including performances, exhibitions, reading lectures, sports, and consumer events. These activities are scheduled to take place throughout 2024, covering all areas of Longgang.
The opening ceremony was also linked with a sub-venue at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Ten couples participating in the university's group wedding ceremony on the morning of the 16th were invited to take a love oath on the spot, adding happiness and sweetness to the beautiful life in the city.
Pingdi specialties, Nanwan silk, Yuanshan's eight scenic spots, Longcheng's premium products, Pinghu specialties, Baolong's treasures...The "Beautiful Street Corridor" set up on-site showcased the distinctive brands of11 subdistricts in Longgang District. During the opening ceremony, each street jointly extended an "Invitation to the City of Beautiful Life" to the public.
"Fun Play Island" is also a major highlight of this event. Longgang's science and technology enterprises, including Global Eagle, Yuanwei Vision, and LAiPIC Technology, have jointly created atechnologyinteractive experience zone for residents. Here, visitors can experience unmanned aerial vehicles (UVA)and simulated flights, and even try out AI painting machines to turn lifestyle photos into exquisite artworks.
The first session of the Beautiful Life Festival will last until the evening of March 16th. Successive events including interactive performances, Twin Towers concerts, a group wedding at the sub-venue of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and a "cloud confession of love" on the top floor of the Twin Towers will unfold, marking the commencement of a new chapter of beautiful life for the citizens of Longgang in 2024.
