Providing a platform for international cooperation

The exhibition, themed "Global Animation Trends of the Future," aims to promote international cooperation within the animation industry. More than 500 companies from 60 countries and regions will showcase over 1,500 intellectual properties (IPs), including global icons like Snoopy, Pikachu, and Minions, alongside popular Chinese IPs such as Boonie Bears.

For the first time, the exhibition will feature a pavilion for the guest of honor, in which Cartoon Italia (the national association of Italian animation producers) has been invited to organize an exhibition of Italy’s excellent animations.

Additionally, the event will host the inaugural Animation Week of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, bringing a series of public screenings and marketing events for films produced in the area.

To promote cooperation in animation film within the region, a framework agreement will also be signed during the ACTIF, revealed Wang Lihua, an official from the Publicity Department of Guangdong province, at a press conference yesterday.

Displaying the frontier technologies of animation production

In addition to diversity, technology is also a focus of the ACTIF this year. A dedicated exhibition section will showcase the industry's latest advancements in digital technologies and artificial intelligence, including audio-driven facial animation, virtual characters, holographic booths, and glasses-free 3D experiences.

Furthermore, a series of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and case studies will focus on these cutting-edge technologies in order to shed light on the digital transformation and innovation taking place within China’s animation industry.

Bringing a cultural feast for animation fans

Beyond being an industry event, ACTIF also aims to be a celebration for animation fans. During the exhibition, cosplayers dressed as characters from Genshin Impact, Honor of Kings, etc., will parade through the exhibition halls and interact with fans.

Visitors can also participate in various forms of entertainment, such as fashion shows, role-playing games, and performances of classic anime songs. A series of screenings will present both new and classic Chinese animated films to the public. Additionally, autograph sessions will be held for visitors to meet their favorite comic artists.

Promoting cross-industry collaboration based on animation

ACTIF will host 13 industry matchmaking events to help animation businesses find collaborative partners in the food, toy, and other industries, thereby expanding the sub-sectors of the animation industry.

Two exhibition sections on licensing, product development, and sales will also be set up, in which more than 30 enterprises will showcase their strategies for marketing, sales, and cross-industry product development and promotion.
