Discover the beauty of GBA's biodiversity in pictures

Recently, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) biodiversity photography and science popularization event—All Creatures Great and Small in the GBA—officially kicked off in South China National Botanical Garden, Guangzhou. The event will last until the end of 2024.

Professional film teams and experts went into nature reserves in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. They used lenses to record the biodiversity conservation stories in four categories: mountains, rivers, seas and cities.

The Greater Bay Area is one of the regions with the richest biodiversity in China. It is home to a great variety of wild species. When taking a leisurely walk in this world-class city cluster, people can discover the existence of a homeland for all species, and a thriving economic entity that co-exists harmoniously with a comprehensive ecosystem. In recent years, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have deepened cooperation in ecological protection and wildlife treatment to pursue harmony between humanity and nature.

The event is jointly organized by Nanfang Media Group, South China National Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Forestry Administration of Guangdong Province, and Guangdong Press Photography Association.
