Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin recently released a series of new measures to support talent development, with a maximum project funding of one million RMB. This effort aims to attract and cultivate more high-level talents for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and to provide talent backup for appropriately diversifying Macao's economy.
Based on these measures, the cooperation zone supports the coordinated development of talent between Hengqin and Macao. It will improve public support services in the fields of education, housing, and medical care, and cooperate with Zhuhai and Macao in talent support, in order to build an international high-end talent base with global competitiveness.
In addition, according to these measures, Hengqin will provide a series of talent subsidies. It supports overseas students to start their businesses in the zone, and those who are eligible will be granted a project subsidy of up to one million RMB. Moreover, the zone will also offer subsidies to qualified Macao talents who work full-time in Hengqin in the fields of finance, accounting, taxation, law, medical care, education, and construction engineering, with a maximum subsidy of 60,000 RMB each.
