Nansha Port sees over 20,000 car exports in January, a year-on-year increase of over 67%

During the Spring Festival, the export of domestic cars remains robust. In January this year, more than 20,000 cars were exported from Guangzhou's Nansha Port, marking a year-on-year increase of over 67 percent, according to Nansha Customs.

"We export not only new energy vehicles but also traditional fuel vehicles, as well as heavy-duty trucks and engineering machinery," said Lu Chunrong, Assistant General Manager of the Nansha Automobile Terminal of Guangzhou Port. "During the Spring Festival holiday, nearly 8,000 commercial vehicles were exported from the Nansha Port, setting a new record for the export of foreign trade vehicles during the same period in recent years."

Nansha Port saw the export of 180,000 automobiles last year, marking a 68 percent year-on-year increase. With its favorable business environment, geographical advantages, and convenient customs clearance conditions, Nansha Port has opened eight international routes for the export of automobiles, covering multiple countries and regions including the Middle East, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia.

"Since the beginning of this year, the export of domestic automobiles has remained robust, and in response to the needs for customs clearance of enterprises during holidays, we have gathered information on their export plans and offered 24-hour appointment-based customs clearance services. Even during holidays, we provide customs clearance support round the clock," said Li Lixiang, a staff member of the Nansha Customs.
