In Dongguan, the dragon boat race is a grand event. Various folk activities and training begin several months before the Dragon Boat Festival, with Dragon Boat Month, lasting over a month, being particularly vibrant. In April, Zhongtang Town and Hongmei Town successively selected a group of agile dragon boat rowers, conducting intensive training to actively prepare for participating in international dragon boat races in Denmark and Switzerland to "win honor for the country". On May 18th, the "hidden dragon" emerged from the waters of Wanjiang Zhengya Village, marking the beginning of Dongguan's Dragon Boat Month.
