On August 14, the "Support Measures for the Development of Cultural and Tourism Industries in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin" were issued, with a total of 25 policies to provide specific financial support in terms of the creation of brands, activating the consumer market, promoting cooperation between Hengqin and Macao, and developing new business forms, etc.
It also aims to support Macao's construction into a world tourism and leisure center, and to promote the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry of the Cooperation Zone.
As for the creation of tourism enterprise brands, the Support Measures will give one-time incentives of up to 5 million RMB to enterprises that have been rated as national 3A-level and above tourism scenic spots, enterprises that have been rated as national or provincial-level tourism resorts, as well as enterprises that have been rated as five-star and four-star tourism hotels (starred hotels), etc.
In order to optimize the service quality of tourism practitioners, the Support Measures will give a one-time incentive of up to 30,000 RMB to tourism practitioners who have obtained national high and intermediate tour guide certificates and who are engaged in the work of full-time tour guides in the Cooperative Zone.
According to the previous Regulations on Promoting the Development of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, it will support the development of cultural and tourism industries, such as leisure and vacation, conferences and exhibitions, stage performances, etc. in the Cooperation Zone.
Therefore, the "Support Measures" will give a maximum of 2 million RMB incentives for the development of study tourism, health tourism, coastal tourism and other emerging forms of cultural and tourism enterprises in the Cooperation Zone.
At the same time, certain financial support will be provided for the creation of tourism commodities reflecting the regional and cultural characteristics of the Cooperation Zone, as well as for the organization of night-time food and beverage-themed consumption activities, such as food festivals, food and beverage carnivals and beer festivals.
In terms of deepening cooperation with Macao's cultural and tourism industry, market entities that have been awarded Macao's "Star Tourism Service Recognition Scheme" and have registered for the first time in the Cooperation Zone and have operated substantively for one year will be given a one-off 100,000 RMB for brand landing incentives.
In addition, enterprises or institutions and Macao social organizations jointly organizing cultural and tourism forums, cultural and tourism promotion and other exchange activities in the Cooperation Zone will be given a one-off incentive of up to 200,000 RMB.
