During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in 2024 (June 8 to 10), Guangzhou Metro has seen approximately 25.55 million passenger trips, with an average daily capacity of 8.52 million trips. This figure has increased by 10% compared to the same period last year (June 22 to 24).

On June 10, passenger trips surged to 8.90 million. Preceding the holiday on June 7, due to the combined influence of commuting and pre-holiday travel, the total passenger flow of the metro network reached around 10.72 million, basically the same as the same period in 2023.
Throughout the three-day holiday, the highest cumulative passenger volume was recorded on Line 3 (including its northern extension) at 5.34 million, followed by Line 2 at 3.29 million and Line 5 at 2.75 million.
Among individual stations, Tiyu Xilu topped with 1.42 million passenger trips, followed by Jiahewanggang with 1.06 million and Zhujiang New Town with 922,000.
