Bizeye | International image on Chinese manufacturing from 'copycat' to 'market leader'

The 136th Canton Fair is in full swing, and Sky, a buyer from Singapore, has lost count of his visits. Each time, he finds new high-quality products.

This time, Sky is at the fair to explore smarter and more user-friendly home appliances. He took reporters to a booth showcasing home appliance products and introduced his latest pick—a water dispenser with a more human-centered and trendy industrial design.

He remarked to the reporters, "A decade ago, 'Made in China' was often associated with imitations or low-quality products. Now, what we see here are globally leading, top-quality industrial goods." For international buyers, smart appliances and IoT (Internet of Things) products are now more appealing than traditional items like rice cookers and kettles, areas where "Chinese brands” and “Guangdong brands" excel.
