Chinese Modernization|First China Quantum Computing Industry Alliance has surpassed 100 members

On July 20th, the 2024 China Quantum Computation Industry Summit and Quantum Computing Developer Conference were held in Guangzhou.

On July 20th, the largest and most prestigious quantum computing summit in China, integrating industry, university, research, and education, was held in Guangzhou. Known as the 2024 China Quantum Computation Industry Summit and Quantum Computing Developer Conference, the event marked a significant number of member units in the first China Quantum Computing Industry Alliance, the "Origin Quantum Industry Alliance," surpassing 100.

Quantum computers are considered the key driver of the next generation of information technology revolution due to their powerful parallel computing capabilities. Countries worldwide are forming quantum computing industry alliances aimed at advancing research and innovation in quantum computing hardware, software, algorithms, and more through resource sharing, technical exchanges, and collaborative development. This concerted effort aims to accelerate the transition of quantum computers from the laboratory to the market.

The Origin Quantum Industry Alliance was established in 2018. As of now, the alliance comprises a total of 102 member entities, categorized into 18 upstream and downstream manufacturing alliances, 54 ecological application alliances, and 30 popular science and education alliances.

Guo Guoping, Secretary General of the Technical Committee on Quantum Computation of CCF

At the conference, Guo Guoping, Secretary General of the Technical Committee on Quantum Computation of the China Computer Federation (CCF), Founder and Chief Scientist of Origin Quantum, and professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, stated that China's domestic superconducting quantum computing industry has essentially "completed its chain." He highlighted the flourishing development of quantum computing application ecosystems, software, algorithms, and cloud platforms.

"Gathering under industry alliances and constructing the quantum industry chain, from basic research and technological development to product manufacturing, education, and market applications will accelerate the industrialization of quantum computing in China and help China seize a leading position in the global quantum technology competition," said Zhao Xuejiao, Executive Committee Member of the Technical Committee on Quantum Computation of CCF.
