Experts have called for more safety-focused events in China to bolster early safety education, in a bid to improve children's safety skills and reduce the risk of accidents amid social responsibility enhancement.
In Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong province, the Guangdong fire department joined hands with beloved children's franchise PAW Patrol on June 1, hosting an engaging fire safety event at Haixinsha Fire and Rescue Station in Tianhe district.
At the event, professional firefighters provided hands-on demonstrations, teaching children how to recognize fire alarm sounds, properly use fire extinguishers, and safely evacuate during emergencies. Real firefighting equipment, including a fire engine, ladders, hoses and safety gear was made accessible to give families a close-up look at rescue tools in action.
Meanwhile, children transformed into junior firefighters, donning miniature fire gear and stepping into the role of rescue heroes. A special highlight was the appearance of Marshall, the brave and cheerful fire pup from PAW Patrol, who delighted fans with interactive moments and joined them throughout the day's activities.

Through simulated rescue drills, kids practiced key emergency techniques such as staying low in smoke, using damp cloths to protect their breathing and calmly exiting buildings in an orderly manner.
Organizers emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in child safety. "By working together with Guangdong fire department, PAW Patrol aims to build a safety-first mindset among children and empower parents as co-creators of their children's safety skills," said Jennifer Pang, vice-president of licensing for Asia at Paramount Global, adding that "It's part of our broader commitment to social responsibility and child development."
With its signature motto, "No job is too big, no pup is too small!" PAW Patrol has captured the hearts of children around the world since its debut in 2013.
The event received enthusiastic feedback from parents, who praised the balance of learning and fun.
PAW Patrol, one of the most successful series in kids' television globally, is aired in over 180 countries in 33 languages, and is consistently ranked among both top-rated preschool and kids' 6-11 series.
Meanwhile, Paramount Consumer Products & Experiences oversees all licensing, merchandising and live events for Paramount, aiming to create the highest quality product for some of the world's most beloved, iconic franchises.
