Nearly a thousand youths parade in Shantou's Inner Bay, expressing love for the motherland

On October 1st, nearly a thousand young students gathered at the Inner Bay in Shantou for a National Day parade. There is a dynamic Yingge Dance performed by pupils, the vibrant Double Dragon Dance, the grand 24 Festive Drums performance, and so on. The energetic youth marched proudly in various themed formations, heads held high and strides confident, parading from Open Plaza to Huaqiao Park. They expressed their heartfelt wishes and deep love for their motherland in the name of youth.

At the scene, the reporter observed nearly a thousand young people forming 16 parade groups, divided into three chapters: "Celebration," "Joy," and "Gathering." the parade included sections such as the Red Flag Brigade, honor Guard, Martial Arts Team, Yingge Dance Group, Chaozhou Music Band, and Fishing Lantern Team. The procession advanced in an orderly manner along a route of about one kilometer, bringing with it resonant fanfare and exciting performances wherever it went. This showcased the young participants' vibrant spirit and youthful energy while highlighting the continuity of traditional Chinese culture.

At the same time, the streets were lined with locals and tourists, all eager to watch and take photos. They waved small red flags and sported bright red star stickers on their faces. When the national anthem played, the crowd on both sides joined in a heartfelt chorus, each note expressing their deep affection for the homeland. As the parade passed by, they cheered and applauded, creating a lively festival atmosphere.

Ms. Chen specially brought her son to experience the atmosphere of the parade up close. On the first day of the holiday, she got up early and arrived at the starting point to "secure a spot" by 8:00 a.m. She told reporters, "This year's youth parade is quite meaningful. Many groups showcased traditional Chaoshan culture, such as the Yingge dance, the Chaozhou Grand Gong and Drum show, and the 24 Festive Drums performance. I believe that building cultural confidence should start with children and teenagers.
