Shuttle bus opens between Haizhu Wetland and Canton Fair Complex to woo foreign guests

The 135th session of Canton Fair is expected to kick off on April 15. During the fair, Haizhu Wetland plans to open a sightseeing bus route between the Canton Fair Complex and the wetland. This shuttle bus allows you to experience the vitality of Guangzhou's trade and the city's natural landscape at the same time.

Walking on the boardwalk in the wetland, you can inhale the fragrance of various flowers, listen to the melodious songs of birds, and breathe in the fresh air, immersing yourself in a natural oxygen bar.

Covering an area of 1,100 hectares, Haizhu Wetland is the largest and most comprehensive ecological wetland located in the central urban area of China's megacity. Since its completion in 2012, its biodiversity has witnessed remarkable growth, transforming it into a thriving habitat for many wild animals and plants in the heart of Guangzhou.

The number of bird species in Haizhu Wetland has increased from 72 to 197, vascular plant species from 294 to 835, insect species from 66 to 738, and two new species of global insects have been discovered over the past two years.

In recent years, Haizhu Wetland has been awarded as the world's best natural protected area by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), making it the first national wetland park to receive this honor.
