GBA economic summit to be held in April

The Macau International Investment Association teamed up with Shenzhen and Hong Kong institutions to organise an international summit on Greater Bay Area's economy.

The event is expected to be held from April 21 to 23 and will be mixed online and offline, with theme forums, round-table meetings and business cooperation signing ceremonies held simultaneously.

Ng Wai Ian, the president of the Macau International Investment Association, hopes that a platform can be set up to learn more about the developments of other bay areas and find more opportunities for the development of the Greater Bay Area.

“The theme of the summit will be focused on the economic connection of Greater Bay Area with the world. Our purpose in organizing the summit is to build up a platform for studying the development of four global bay areas, seeking the chance of cooperation of the bay areas, promoting the development of the new economy.  Macau, as a main part of the Greater Bay Area, will play an important role in the cooperation and development of the Greater Bay Area.”

Ng also said that the summit will be held regularly in cities around the Greater Bay Area with different topics.
