GDToday's special indoor exhibition to save your holiday from incessant rain

Having no idea where to go on a rainy holiday? Frustrated by the cancellation of travel plans? No worries! GDToday has prepared an indoor exhibition to save your holiday from the incessant rain. Come to the Guangzhou Opera House on May 3rd and 4th and join a revisit of the ancient Silk Road through Guangdong's intangible cultural heritage.

To mark the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's passing, Guangzhou Opera House will restage the original opera Marco Polo on May 3rd and 4th. Taking this opportunity,  GDToday's exhibition "An Encounter with Marco Polo" will display over 30 masterpieces of Guangzhou painted porcelain (Guangcai) and Guangzhou embroidery (Guangxiu), two major commodities of the province's export to Europe through the ancient Silk Road.

Visitors can feast their eyes with a rich array of Guangcai and Guangxiu. The exhibition offers not only antiques featuring some classic themes of traditional Chinese art, such as flowers and birds, but also contemporary masterpieces showcasing modern scenes of the metropolis Guangzhou.

The exhibition also provides visitors with various gift options that represent traditional culture with contemporary designs. Additionally, a special photo booth will be set up on site for the visitors to take photos with cardboard cutouts of the delicate masterpieces on display.
