Girls forced to kneel and hands tied for not wearing mask in Guangzhou? Here’s the fact!

Two girls cursed and intended to assault medical staff and volunteers after violating local COVID control measures on Nov. 18.

The two girls live in Haizhu District of Guangzhou, South China’s Guangdong province, where more than 8,000 new daily COVID cases have been reported for 3 consecutive days. They have not taken any COVID tests since October 30, and may potentially spread the virus if not wearing masks or going out of the quarantine area.

They wanted to leave the quarantine area but were stopped by the medical staff and volunteers. Then they started to shout and assault the staff. The staff then stopped them. Nobody asked the girls to kneel down or tore their clothes.

According to the photo shot by the locals, the staff even offered one of the girls a blanket to cover her up. Both the girls and the staff have apologized to each other afterwards.
