Vienna's classic music soloists shine on Guangzhou stage

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the famous classical music piece "Rhapsody in Blue." Seven soloists from Vienna brought two wonderful classical music performances to an audience of 600 people at the Oriental Resort Guangzhou on April 20 and 21.

The repertoire featured a dozen classic pieces, including both Western and Chinese classical music works "Rhapsody in Blue," "The Butterfly Lovers," and "Jasmine Flower," which are very familiar to Chinese people.

The concert venue is located at the foot of the Baiyun Mountain, a national 5A scenic area. The resort's modern Chinese Lingnan style, merging Eastern and Western elements, complemented the unique artistic style and performance techniques of the Viennese soloists. Both performers and audiences enjoyed the contemporary Chinese hospitality and cultural prosperity in an enchanting and relaxing way.

The event aims to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and help boost the cultural vibe in Baiyun District. Ms. Sophie Zhang, General Manager of the Oriental Resort Guangzhou, said that it is a great honor to invite the musicians to perform a series of Chinese and Western classical music at the hotel, and she hopes to enrich the cultural life of Guangzhou residents through different forms of activities and promote international cultural exchanges.
