On the morning of June 10, which marked China Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, at the Dragon Boat Park in Dongguan's Shatian Town, crowds excitedly gathered to watch the races of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao GBA (Guangdong) Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament. Oars thrashed, arms heaved, and the water turned white with action.

After several rounds of fierce competition, Dongguan Shatian Dragon Boat Team won the Tournament, Hong Kong (Shatian) Tongxin Dragon Boat Team finished second, and Guangzhou Old Friends Dragon Boat Team won third place.

The Tournament formed part of Guangdong's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day celebration. The celebration, running from June 10 to June 11, both online and offline, includes travel routes launching, folk cultural performances, an Intangible Cultural Heritage Carnival, an Intangible Cultural Heritage Shopping Festival, and more.
The 10 tourism routes for intangible cultural heritage, launched on the same Day, offer tourists an immersive experience of an array of UNESCO, national and provincial intangible cultural heritage projects from 12 cities of Guangdong.

The offline events are mostly being held at the Dragon Boat Park in Dongguan's Shatian Town: the main venue of this year's celebration. Over 400 other events are underway to celebrate the Day across the province.
In addition, you can search in the WeChat mini-program, WeChat Channel and Douyin store named "粤港澳东莞非遗墟市 (pinyin: yue gang ao dong guan fei yi xu shi)" to purchase the intangible cultural heritage products of the shopping festival or package tours online.
Since 2006, China has celebrated Cultural Heritage Day on the second Saturday of June. In 2017, it was renamed Cultural and Natural Heritage Day to call on more people to be aware of the importance of safeguarding cultural and natural heritage.
