The cultural industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has surpassed two trillion RMB in scale, with nearly 10,000 large-scale cultural enterprises, according to a report on investment trends in GBA's cultural industry. This report was released at the "2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cultural Industry Investment Conference" in Guangzhou on November 28.
The report indicates that the integration of technology and finance has become the primary direction for the cultural industry in the GBA. Simultaneously, cultural innovation-related enterprises are the most popular in terms of investment, with new concepts like the metaverse and AIGC gradually becoming significant branches in the investment field.

Statistics show that as of November 17 this year, the total market value of listed cultural enterprises in the GBA has exceeded 49 trillion RMB, with game, entertainment media, and advanced manufacturing companies contributing approximately 91.6% of this value. The report also predicts that in the next five years, over five new cultural enterprises will be listed annually in the nine Chinese mainland cities in the GBA.
Additionally, the GBA holds significant market potential in digital cultural globalization, with Guangdong accounting for over 20% of both products, with overseas revenue exceeding one billion RMB, and the regions of the top 100 domestic mobile games in terms of overseas revenue. Furthermore, in the first half of 2022, three products from the GBA ranked among the top 10 in China's outbound audio and video social applications.
