The concert was geared to audiences including the visually impaired. At the beginning of the show, a painting guide salon with 3D paintings and the docent’s interpretation allowed audiences to appreciate artworks by touching and hearing them. In addition, there was also a braille program designed for them, in a bid to smash the barriers to art appreciation.

During the concert, violinist Huang Xiaonan, violist Yu Hao and cellist Liang Yingbiao performed the works of Beethoven, Mozart, Carl Jenkins and W. Berg. The audience immersed themselves in the polystylistic music as well as the paintings, captivated by the charm of the art in the age of Victoria. They also received blooming roses and postcards as souvenirs.

According to Guangdong Museum, this concert was intended to interpret masterpieces with music and help audiences to appreciate art through hearing. The museum will continue to introduce exhibition viewing ways for people with disabilities and disadvantaged groups in an open, inclusive and thoughtful manner to achieve the goal of artistic and cultural accessibility.
