Dragon boat is the core of the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival (the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar).
It is a watercraft that is shaped and decorated as a Chinese dragon and rowed by people to celebrate the Festival. Dragon boat racing is popular not only in China but also around the world.
The dragon boat "Dongpo" from Chebei Village is one of the oldest dragon boats in Guangzhou. It "retired" last year. The village replicates the boat this year as the "New Dongpo" just before the Dragon Boat Festival this year.
