Lantern Festival activity featuring intangible cultural heritage to be held at Canton Tower

In celebration of the Lantern Festival, on February 5, an intangible cultural heritage carnival will take place at the Canton Tower in Guangzhou city of Guangdong. The show will round off the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Lanterns are the theme part of the Lantern Festival. At this event, many traditional palace lanterns and Foshan festive lanterns will be displayed. The event also features Foshan New Year woodblock paintings, Dun Tou Lan dyed cloth, maltose pomelo peel, and more intangible cultural heritage products.

At the same time, visitors can enjoy the Huangge Qilin Dance (Kirin Dance), a Gaozhou puppet show, and Cantonese opera. Furthermore, lantern riddle guessing games, an indispensable part of the Lantern Festival, as well as a lucky draw, are waiting for explorers.
