The dance theater "The Station" will be premiered at the Guangzhou Opera House on December 16 to 17. The dancers will take the audience on a fantastic journey of dance that transcends the body in time.

In "The Station", the station master, flower girl, busker, and other characters come together at a railway station, where travelers stop and encounter each other. After everything they have been through, they are still willing to set off with their suitcases, the symbol of their dreams.

"This dance work is not about one story in particular, it's about a kind of feeling," said Huang Xiao, a protagonist of the show, "We hope that the audience will find a character like themselves in these different roles and feel the energy we are trying to convey."

"The Station" is the original dance creation of dancer and choreographer Li Xing. He starred in the award-winning dance dramas "The Past of Shawan" and "The Railway to Tibet" and created "The Hotel" and "A Dream of Red Mansions".

Talking about the reason for creating a dance theater on the theme of "railway station", Li said that the railway station is like a time tunnel taking him back to the simplest days of his youth. "I can gain much energy when I talk to myself in that time."

According to Li, this performance is about the courage to start again. He hopes that whether in good times or bad, everyone will have a clear way forward and set off in that direction, just like the characters in the show.
