"Flower City," a renowned local literary brand in Guangzhou, originated from the founding of the Flower City Magazine in 1979. The Flower City Academy of Literature has integrated the resources of these publications and Flower City Publishing House.
Since its inception, the academy has engaged in various activities such as signing renowned authors, organizing literary nights, unveiling the Flower City Literary List, initiating literary creation projects, hosting literary forums, and facilitating copyright operations and incubation.
These efforts have attracted top writers nationwide, unearthed the rich cultural resources of the GBA, and explored the distinctive approach to producing literary masterpieces while fostering international exchanges.
Furthermore, contracted writers and critics have achieved significant creative milestones over the past year. For instance, works by Mai Jia and Li Juan have been adapted into film and television productions, new works by contracted writers like Chen Qufan are set for publication, and the "New Nanfang Writing" concept promoted by Yang Qingxiang was recognized as one of the "The Top Ten Developments in Studies on Chinese Humanities."
