What makes Shenzhen attractive to you?
As Liu Cixin, a contemporary Chinese science fiction writer, puts it, Shenzhen is one of the most innovative cities in China. It is also a young city with sci-fi and futuristic features.
In this fast-paced city, people regard hard work as the rule of life, but they have a habit of treating themselves to beautiful vistas and pleasant activities on weekends and holidays.
For many, Shenzhen is where dreams begin. Yuehai Subdistrict boasts a wide range of listed companies and research centers of well-known universities. Huaqiangbei Subdistrict, also known as "the No. 1 electronics street in China", has become an international district that integrates technology, culture, and fashion. Houhai, Nanshan District is home to many Fortune 500 companies, such as Tencent and Huawei, as well as Peng Cheng Laboratory and Shenzhen University. Furthermore, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub is a paradise for innovators and entrepreneurs.
This is a city of limitless possibilities and business opportunities. Huaqiangbei, for example, is full of skyscrapers, represented by the mazed-like 72-story SEG Plaza. As a result, a wide variety of new job opportunities have emerged – at meal times, it's easy to see groups of people who have gathered in front of the SEG Plaza, and they offer paid services of carrying food upstairs for delivery riders.
Shenzhen people also know how to enjoy life. Shenzhen has mountains, streams, lakes, forests, fields, ancient villages, islands, and the Dapeng Peninsula Beach, one of the eight most beautiful coasts in China. In their spare time, residents go out for picnics, camping, or bird watching; some even spend three hours climbing Wutong Mountain to be rewarded with a wonderful sunrise. In Shenzhen, you will feel this energetic vibe everywhere; for instance, seeing teenagers skate in the park, brightly lit 24-hour reading bars, get-together areas that offer live rhythmic music, and busy breakfast vendors.
