On August 11, the first group of four Macao medical personnel completed their professional registration and gained practice certificates in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, so that they can now work in the medical institutions in the Cooperation Zone.
According to the previous regulations concerning the practice of medical personnel of Macao in the Cooperation Zone implemented on August 1, 2023, which will further facilitate cross-border practice for Macao medical personnel, expand employment opportunities for Macao residents, and promote diversified development of Macao's industries.
Fong Fong Tan, Deputy Director of the Livelihood Affairs Bureau in the Cooperation Zone, stated that with the development of diverse industries in Hengqin, the health industry is rapidly expanding in the Cooperation Zone. The issuance of the first batch of practice certificates will encourage Macao medical personnel to develop their careers in Hengqin. It is welcomed that more Macao medical professionals come to Hengqin to make significant contributions in the future.
