ExxonMobil's Huizhou project started installation of heavy equipment

The first phase of ExxonMobil Huizhou Ethylene Project has started the installation of heavy equipment during this month, marking another significant progress milestone for the project.

The equipment has been shipped to Huizhou over the last two months, now the project has set up main large towers and taking other components at the site.

The first heavy equipment "quenching oil column" which weighs 1440 tons, equaling five A380 planes, finished installation on December 5. And the installation of the second equipment "quenching water column" has also finished successfully.

The heavy equipment installation is conducted through a 4000-ton track as main crane and the 1600-ton track at the bottom. There are only four such equipments in the country.

The program will carry out other heavy equipment installations as scheduled, and finish all work in the first quarter of 2023.

Locating in the Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Park in Huizhou, the ExxonMobil Huizhou Ethylene Project is one of the major foreign-funded projects in China, with a total investment of about 10 billion US dollars, and two phases of construction.
