A science promotion and education center opens Wednesday in the Hengqin National Wetland Park (Erjing Bay) coinciding with the 43rd Bird Loving Week in Guangdong.
Fu Yongge, the deputy director of the Executive Committee of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, gave a speech on the opening ceremony, saying that he hopes more and more Macao residents and students can visit the center because it needs concerted efforts from both sides to build Hengqin into a new home for living, working, and studying.
To better organize the natural science education activities, the Urban Planning and Construction Bureau of the Cooperation Zone will make short documentaries about the background survey results of local wildlife resources to showcase the beauty of Hengqin.
The Cooperation Zone will press ahead with the phase I and II construction of the Hengqin National Wetland Park and systematically conduct science popularization activities and launch study programs to build the Park into a comprehensive platform that integrates science popularization, natural education, and cultural exchanges.
