The 2022 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is held on December 21 and 22.
Yang Hongshan, Deputy Director-General of the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, said at the conference that Guangdong has implemented a series of preferential policies and measures for enterprises in the GBA, welcoming entrepreneurs and talent from home and abroad to invest and start their own businesses here.
Emphasis on the introduction and cultivation of young talent
Yang introduced that Guangdong has built the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base Incubation System for Young People from Hong Kong and Macao. The system has incubated 2,823 projects in Hong Kong and Macao, and has provided employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for 4,122 young people from the two regions.

Furthermore, it's reported that Guangdong is home to 1,239 post-doctoral research platforms and 1,083 doctoral workstations, with more than 11,000 post-doctors in the stations, accounting for one-seventh of the national total.
Solid foundation for high-quality development of manufacturing industry
Guangdong has implemented the "Skilled Workers in Guangdong" project in recent years to carry out vocational skills training, basically building the largest technical education system in China with 148 technical schools.

Yang stated that the cooperation between those schools and enterprises has deepened in recent years, which has laid a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. At present, the total number of skilled workers in the province reaches 18.04 million, including 6.02 million highly skilled personnel.
Convenient and rapid flow of talent
"Hong Kong and Macao residents as well as international personnel employed or residing in our province shall enjoy the same social security rights and benefits as residents in our province," said Yang.
Up to now, more than 200,000 Hong Kong and Macao residents are working in Guangdong, and more than 290,000 people have participated in social insurance here.

Guangdong has joined hands with Hong Kong and Macao to issue "one-card-for-all-services".In addition, the "Guangdong-Macao Social Security One Window Access" will be launched soon, enabling Macao residents to conduct Macao social security services directly in Hengqin, Zhuhai.
