From December 22 to 24, the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao SARs will jointly hold the 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Service Trade Conference, according to Zhang Jinsong, director-general of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong, at the press conference today (December 16).
The conference, which will be the first kind in the GBA, adopts the form of "exhibitions + forums + ‘matchmaking’ meetings" to fully display the development of service trade in the GBA.
At the same time, the conference will open online connection channels in the main forum, sub-forums, and other activities to interact with Hong Kong, Macao, and other regions at home and abroad in real-time. An online VR exhibition will be available for overseas users for free.
In Guangzhou, the conference will set up an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters, with three major areas. The comprehensive city exhibition area presents the distinct advantages and latest achievements of the "9+2" urban agglomeration in the GBA and the two major platforms of Hengqin and Qianhai.
The digital trade exhibition area displays cross-border e-commerce, digital platforms, digital finance, digital exhibitions, and other intelligent technological achievements and their applications.
The life service exhibition focuses on Guangdong's characteristics, displaying high-quality life services such as "Cantonese Chef," "Nanyue Housecraft," traditional Chinese medicine, art auctions, animation, and e-sports.
The conference will also carry out a project signing ceremony and special promotion meetings for investment promotion. Enterprises in service trade can talk and negotiate with the purchasers directly. Also, participating companies will have chances to visit and inspect Zhuhai's critical industrial parks, enterprises, and projects in the GBA.
