Macao journalists highlighted their GBA journey with Shenzhen's cutting-edge technologies

On July 5, the Macao Portuguese and English Press Delegation visited Shenzhen and experienced the cutting-edge technologies of UBTECH Robotics, BYD and Huawei.

At UBTECH Robotics, one of the world's top designers and manufacturers of intelligent humanoid robots, Macao journalists played with its latest robot by shaking hands and watching it open the fridge and fetch a coke.

While in BYD and Huawei, the delegation was shown state-of-the-art innovative technology in new energy cars and innovative systems for smart homes.

At the same time, the delegation visited an exhibition on 40 years of reform and opening-up in Guangdong, grasping the achievements the province has made during the past decades.

José Carlos Matias, director of Macau Business, told GDToday that even though they only got a glimpse, he could imagine what achievements Shenzhen has made regarding innovative technologies, "I think it's a journey to the future".

Guilherme Rego, executive director of Plataforma Macau, a Chinese-English-Portuguese weekly, shared his report plan, noting that he would introduce the latest preferential policies and resources in the GBA, especially in Shenzhen to his audiences in Macao and also Portuguese-speaking countries.
