Chairman of The Kuhn Foundation: Poverty alleviation exemplifies outcome of China’s democracy and human rights

“I have been coming to China for more than 30 years and visiting over 100 cities. Yet, as much as I thought I knew China, I did not appreciate all that is required for poverty alleviation until I visited poor regions and spoke with poor villagers. I was startled to discover that millions of poor families, each with its own customized plan. For China, poverty alleviation exemplifies the outcome of China’s democracy, as well as of its human rights. Now, Common Prosperity does as well,”said Robert Lawrence Kuhn, Chairman of The Kuhn Foundation, on Understanding China·Greater Bay Area Dialogue.

The “Understanding China·Greater Bay Area Dialogue” is in full swing in Guangzhou, south China’s Guangdong province, from April 18 to 20, with the theme of Chinese Modernization and New Opportunities for the World. GDToday is one of the media sponsors of this conference.
