Recently, the tag "China Travel" has taken online social media by storm. According to a ranking by overseas travelers, two cities, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, in Guangdong Province, are among the top destinations in China.

Qianlonggou Waterfall, Guangzhou (千泷沟大瀑布)

Qianlonggou Waterfall Tourist Area is located in a gorge in Jincun, Liangkou Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou. It is surrounded by mountains, water, bamboo, and rocks. The area stretches about 3 kilometers deep, offering a poetic and picturesque road.

It is highly recommended to visit this place in Guangzhou this summer. The waterfall is over 80 meters high, with an ear-splitting sound when standing close to it. This spot is also a very popular hiking route for young people in the city, who are eager to feel closer to nature on the weekends.

Apart from the spectacular view of the waterfall, it also provides a wide variety of activities for visitors and tourists alike, including performances, delicacies, and water sports such as rafting.

Maluan Mountain Country Park, Shenzhen (马峦山郊野公园)

Maluan Mountain Country Park, which offers hiking and nature sightseeing, is the first country park approved by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government.

The park boasts two waterfalls, the Longtan Waterfall and the Lanhe Bridge Waterfall. The Longtan Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Shenzhen, with a vertical drop of about 50 meters.

Inside the park, you can also get to Daguzhang (Chinese: 打鼓嶂), a scenic spot that has been rated as the "Thousand-island lake" of Shenzhen. Also, you will pass by Biling Waterfalls, the largest waterfall group in Shenzhen.

Danxia Mountain, Shaoguan (丹霞山)

In Chinese, Danxia means "rosy clouds". Characterized by its red cliffs and erosional landforms, Danxia Mountain (or Danxiashan) took its name from its unique color. It is an ideal summer retreat with its lush green mountains and fresh air. The annual average temperature here is only 28.3 degrees Celsius in the hottest month.

Strolling through the Danxiashan UNESCO Global Geopark feels like walking into a giant, natural air-conditioned room. Whether boating on the Jinjiang River or watching the sunrise and sunset, you can forget about the summer heat and immerse yourself in the picturesque scenery.

Nankun Mountain, Huizhou (南昆山)

A visit here in summer is worthwhile. Despite temperatures reaching over 30 degrees Celsius in most of the province, you can expect a cool and enjoyable trip as pleasant breezes blow through the mountains and keep you cool.
