Guangdong Cultural Center (Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) will hold trial classes during the May Day Holiday, including Cantonese embroidery, ricepaper plant pith painting, clay sculpture, making caltrop rice noodles and Cantonese Siu Mai (a kind of Cantonese Dim Sum). You can gain a hands-on experience of these intangible cultural heritage projects in the classes. The event is guided by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province.

Beside the city wall built in the Ming Dynasty at the Zhenhai Tower exhibition area, the last trolley articulated bus with a history of more than 30 years in Guangzhou is on display, and tourists can take photos inside the bus after making appointments from May 1.
During the five-day holiday, the Guangzhou Museum will hold a food cultural salon inside the trolley articulated bus. Visitors can book in advance to attend the salon and enjoy traditional Cantonese Dim Sum based on recipes in ancient books.

During the holiday, Yuyin Shanfang will hold an intangible cultural heritage exhibition, displaying about 40 pieces of handicrafts of Nanhai rattan weaving, Wu-style gold leaf and leather carving. From May 1 to 3, visitors can try to make these three kinds of crafts under instruction.
In addition, there will also be Cantonese music performances and reciting programs from May 1 to 2.

During the May Day holiday, the scenic spot prepares a series of activities with traditional Chinese characteristics, including a garden party, traditional folk performances, and floating river lanterns for blessing.

Xinghu Scenic Area is a 5A national scenic spot in Zhaoqing, and the "five lakes" in its Seven Star Crags scenic area is one of the most famous attractions there. The scenic spot launches a five-lake cruise program before the May Day holiday, allowing tourists to enjoy the scenery of the five lakes by boat.
