Recently, a batch of new cultural landmarks has started or is scheduled to open in Guangzhou, including museums, an art centre, an opera house, and a cultural centre. In the future, residents will have access to the following destinations for leisure and a first-rate cultural experience.

Another literature theatre will host drama productions, documentaries, film appreciation events, and other activities. In addition, a lecture hall of the art museum will be set up at the art centre.
Guangzhou Cultural Center
The Guangzhou Cultural Center has already completed its construction and will be open for booking soon. Situated at the southern end of the city's central axis, it was designed as a Lingnan-style garden. The buildings are scattered around the Haizhu Lake like stones and assembled into various courtyards, forming a layout of "a garden within a garden". Meanwhile, the typical landscape elements of the Lingnan region, "mountains, rivers, fields, and ponds", are integrated into the venue's design.

Guangzhou Cantonese Opera House
The new site of the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera House opened in the Zhujiang New Town in January this year. Its design was inspired by a kind of Chinese wedding dress, which is the heroine's costume in Cantonese opera.
