Zhanjiang: Lianjiang Red Orange(廉江红橙)

Known as the hometown of red oranges, Lianjiang city has the largest red orange planting base in the country. Lianjiang red orange is one of the registered geographical indications of agricultural products and the protected eco-origin product. With thin and glossy peel, juicy pulp, sweet and refreshing flavor, it is favored by consumers at home and abroad.

Zhanjiang: Suixi Pitaya (遂溪火龙果)

Suixi County is the largest pitaya producing area in Guangdong. The high temperature and rainy climate with fertile volcanic ash soil here provide a good environment for the growth of pitaya.

Most of the pitaya in Suixi features red pulp, and their soft and sweet taste and juicy flesh make it a representative local specialty.

Maoming: Gaojiao Dundilei Banana (高脚遁地蕾香蕉)

Maoming is known as one of "the largest fruit production base in China", especially abundant with litchi, longan and bananas. In winter, you can try the " Gaojiao Dundilei banana" here.

The fruit got its name from the Ming Dynasty when locals named it "Dundilei" because the banana tree resembled a farm tool for compacting loose soil.

The banana originated in Gaozhou city and has been cultivated for more than 1,800 years. It is listed in geographical indications in China. As a high-quality variety of its species, Gaojiao Dundilei banana has been exported to foreign countries as China's best banana since the 1950s.

Yangjiang: Yangchun Mashui Tangerine (阳春马水桔)

Yangchun Mashui tangerine is famous for its beautiful shape, bright color, thin skin, as well as a juicy, sweet and fragrant taste, which is also praised as one of the four famous tangerines in Guangdong. It is often sold at the end of winter, and locals always buy some for the Spring Festival.
