Young musicians from several conservatories of music across China form the symphony orchestra for the YMCG this year, and will gather in Guangzhou for rehearsals, performances, and cultural activities with those professional performers.

Five concerts will be staged at the Xinghai Concert Hall from February 13 to 19. The opening concert will be held on February 13. Jing Huan, the permanent conductor of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra (GSO), will conduct GSO, Shanghai Quartet, and performers from China Philharmonic Orchestra and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra to present Souvenir de Florence composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi.
