Guangdong Museum: Scented sachets DIY
Wearing scented sachets at the Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese cultural convention. In the Lingnan region, people generally put herbal medicines with strong aromatic odors that are refreshing and can purify the air, repel insects, and enhance immunity. On June 23, visitors will have chances to make scented sachets while exploring the Lingnan herbs at the Chinese Medicine Hall.

Guangzhou Museum: Stamp collection
If you like collecting various patterns of seal impressions, we recommend the activity at the Guangzhou Museum. At the museum's Zhenhai Tower, Memorial of the Anti-British Invasion of Sanyuanli People, and Memorial of the March 29th Uprising Headquarters, visitors can get stamps after finishing games there. The patterns feature dragon boats, cultural relics, as well as designs of Manchurian windows collected in the museum.

Yuexiu Park: Guangzhou Dragon Style Kung Fu experience
Created by Chinese martial artist Lin Yaogui at Yuexiu Mountain, and dating back to the late Qing Dynasty, Guangzhou Dragon Style Kung Fu (龙形拳) is listed as an intangible cultural heritage of Yuexiu District. On Dragon Boat Festival, a Guangzhou Dragon Style Kung Fu experience activity will be held at Yuexiu Park, where people can learn this martial art and better understand its origin.

This is one of the intangible cultural heritage thematic series of Yuexiu District. Furthermore, activities including intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and bazaars will also be available at the intangible cultural heritage block on Beijing Road and Guangzhou Workers' Cultural Palace during the holiday.

Shawan Ancient Town: Cantonese Music
How about feeling the festive atmosphere indoors during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday? The Dragon Boat Race (赛龙夺锦) is one of the representatives of Cantonese music, composed by He Bozhong in 1878 and recreated by his grandson He Liutang. It depicts the bustling and breathtaking scene of the dragon boat race. As the birthplace of Cantonese music, Shawan Ancient Town will present concerts featuring Dragon Boat Race and other classic Cantonese music pieces during the three-day holiday.

Maofeng Mountain Scenic Area: Dragon Boat Festival customs
On June 22, several events will be held at Maofeng Mountain Scenic Area, offering opportunities to get hands-on experience with Dragon Boat Festival customs. Visitors can make zongzi (rice dumplings) under the instruction of teachers, make mugwort-scented sachets, and paint on round fans. In addition, people dressed in Hanfu can enter the scenic area for free.

Sunac Resort: Intangible cultural heritage & garden fete
To usher in the Dragon Boat Festival, Sunac Resort has geared up colorful celebrations. From June 22 to 24, "iron flowers", a folk art performance of throwing molten iron to create fireworks, will be presented to tourists at the Fountain Plaza in Sunac Land of Sunac Resort. Meanwhile, a festive garden fete with cultural games will take place at Wuyang Square.
