An original opera that portrays the life story of the legendary Chinese composer Xian Xinghai will hold its premiere at the Guangzhou Opera House in Guangzhou from June 17 to 19, 2022. The opera "Xinghai Xinghai" will also go on tour after its debut, according to the its producers Xinghai Conservatory of Music and Guangzhou Opera House.
On January 24th, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between the two producers and the launching ceremony of opera was held at the Guangzhou Opera House.

Based on the life of Xian Xinghai, a legendary Chinese composer, "Xinghai Xinghai" shows the courses of his growth, art and revolution, as well as the young generation's inheritance of the "Xinghai spirit". This work tells a story that students of the conservatory of music have a conflict of ideas during the rehearsal of Xian Xinghai's work "Yellow River Cantata", so they set off from Guangzhou and Moscow to Yan'an to explore the musician's life story, and eventually find out the essence of the work and the core of "Xinghai spirit".
The creators of this opera consist of experts and experienced teachers from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, as well as top scriptwriters and stage design team. The actors mainly include outstanding teachers, students and alumni of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, who have won awards in many national and international top competitions.
The aim of exploring the local and cultural resources of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has led to the cooperation between the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and Guangzhou Opera House at this time. In the future, they will integrate cultural resources to promote the creation of high-quality stage plays and artistic masterpieces, the further progress of the GBA's culture, and the inheritance of the "Xinghai spirit".
