Women's Art Festival offers you an audio-visual feast in Guangzhou

The fifth Women's Art Festival is underway in Guangzhou from March 4 to April 20, 2022. The festival brings 11 stage performances and 4 HD screenings of classic operas.

The theme this year is "Numbers are not just Numbers", and the "number" here refers to "age". As women's personal value and unique charm will increase with age and experience, the festival aims to encourage women to overcome their anxiety about age and embrace themselves.

The programs of the art festival cover drama, traditional Chinese opera, music, dance, and opera screenings, presenting a cultural feast for audiences At the same time, there are also some interviews, reading events and fan meetings.

Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center will perform "Wilderness", a revenge drama adapted from one of the most famous plays by Chinese playwright Cao Yu, who is called "the father of modern Chinese theater".

Cantonese Opera artist Zeng Xiaomin will stage "The Fairy Tale of the White Snake", one of her representative works. It is a new interpretation of the ancient Chinese legend, featuring romantic scenes and traditional performance skills.

Russian pianist Olica Samosuyeva will hold her recital, playing world-renowned piano pieces such as "Moonlight Sonata" and "Fur Elise", as well as "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon", "Yellow River Cantata", "Hundreds of Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix" and other Chinese classics.
