Russian Wetman Dance Drama: Show in the Rain

The Russian wetman dance drama Show in the Rain was created in 2009 by Rustam Nadyrshin, one of Russia's top five choreographers. This dance drama is performed entirely by strong, masculine dancers and seamlessly combines real rain scenes with dance on stage.

The show follows the protagonist's monologue as the main thread and uses various dance styles, including modern dance, street dance, and classical dance, to express the character's reflections on life. It portrays an ordinary middle-aged man's journey from longing for happiness to confusion, and finally to enlightenment.

The troupe presenting this performance, WetMen, is one of Russia's most recognized and hardcore modern dance groups. The team consists of top dancers: classical dancers, modern dance champions, street dance champions, ballet dancers, breakdancers, gymnasts, acrobatic champions, and dance reality show contestants.
